Another Falmouth Lifeguard Tests Positive For Coronavirus
The new case, which was reported over the weekend, means 11 Falmouth lifeguards have tested positive for the coronavirus.
FALMOUTH, MA — Eleven Falmouth lifeguards have now tested positive for the coronavirus after another case was reported over the weekend.
Town officials said the lifeguard was tested on Aug. 4and has not been back to work since being tested.
The additional case came after at least eight lifeguards tested positive after attending a party. Town officials became aware of at least one case two weeks ago before the Town Select Board was made aware of the additional cases at a meeting.

Acting beach superintendent Maggie Clayton told the board that lifeguards were told by supervisors not to divulge that they had tested positive.
Free coronavirus testing for all town lifeguards and beach staff was also made available at Falmouth Hospital. Town manager Julian Suso encouraged all town beach staff to get a free test.
