Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Falmouth Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS) is pleased to announce the availability of two $1,000 scholarships for eligible juniors and seniors who value and have exhibited volunteerism and community service throughout their high school careers. Current FHS juniors and seniors who have volunteered at least 100 hours are eligible. Documentation of the volunteer and/or community service hours is required. The application form is available in the FHS guidance office and can be downloaded from the VIPS website at <a href="http://www.falmouthvips.org/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">falmouthvips.org</a>. This year's scholarships are made possible through the generosity of the VIPS Board of Advisors. The 2012 scholarship recipients will be announced at the annual VIPS Recognition Dinner on Tuesday, May 1, at the .  To apply for the 2012 Student Volunteerism Scholarship, students must complete a brief application form, provide a log or record of their volunteer hours, submit a letter from an adult sponsor/advisor/supervisor describing the student's volunteer contributions, and write an essay describing what the student's volunteer experience has meant to them and how volunteering as a high school student will impact his/her life.
