Falmouth Theatre Guild Holds Auditions For Hilarious Farce Ken Ludwig's "Lend Me A Tenor"

Auditions are coming up for the Falmouth Theatre Guild’s winter production, the hilarious farce, “Lend Me A Tenor” by Ken Ludwig.

The show will be directed by Melinda Gallant.

There are two audition dates: Sunday, November 8, at 5 p.m. at the Cape Conservatory, Highfield Drive in Falmouth; and Monday, November 9, at 6:30 p.m. in a meeting room at Falmouth Public Library, Katharine Lee Bates Road, Falmouth.

Attend only one audition.

Callbacks, if necessary, will be held Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Cape Conservatory, Highfield Drive, Falmouth.

This show has eight terrific adult roles, four men and four women.

There is the theater assistant and aspiring tenor, Max, and his starstruck girlfriend, Maggie. There is Saunders, the blowhard manager of the Cleveland Grand Opera Company who is also Maggie’s father.

Tito Merelli is a world-famous Italian tenor and notorious ladies man, known to his fans as Il Stupendo. Tito’s wife is the fiery-tempered Maria.

There is also Diana, the seductive soprano; Julia, the grand dame chair of the Opera Guild; and the Bellhop, an obsessive opera fan.

The show runs January 29 to February 7, two weekends only, at Highfield Theater, Highfield Drive in Falmouth.
