Beatrix Potter Puppet Show at Falmouth Art Center

Award-winning puppeteer Kerry Burke-Mackenzie will present “A Tale of Samuel Whiskers or The Roly-Poly Pudding: A Tale by Beatrix Potter” on Saturday, October 2 at 10am.

The show is scheduled to last 35 minutes and tickets are $5 a person. While the show is geared to ages 3 to 5 years old (with a caregiver), older siblings are welcome. Ms. Mackenzie is the principal of Miss Potter’s Storytelling Puppet Theater. She has worked as a puppet fabricator and puppeteer for Julie Taymor, creator of “The Lion King, among other shows. This performance has the honor of being a finalist for a Jim Henson Foundation Grant. The puppet show will be performed outside on the lawn at Falmouth Art Center, weather permitting. Bring your own seat or blanket to sit on, if you like. The rain date is Sunday, October 3, at 10am. If the rain date is also rainy, the piece will be performed inside the Art Center.
