Beloved Cape Cod Florist Killed In Crash

Police identified Sheila Kelley, who owned Kelley's Flowers in Wellfleet, as the person who died in a recent Cape Cod crash.

WELLFLEET, MA — The beloved owner of a Cape Cod flower shop was identified as the woman who died in a Cape Cod crash on Thursday, police said.

Wellfleet Police and Fire Departments responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 6 around 7 a.m. on Oct. 10.

Police said a delivery truck, driven by a 60-year-old Worcester man, struck a minivan driven by a 63-year-old Cape Cod resident. The minivan driver was pronounced dead on the scene, and the delivery truck driver was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries, police said.

Police later identified the deceased as Sheila Kelley, an Eastham resident who was known on the Cape for her work as a florist.

Kelley owned Kelley's Flowers in Wellfleet and, police said, "touched many lives in various ways."
