Body Found At Cape Cod Beach, Foul Play Not Suspected

BOURNE, MA — A dead body was found at a Cape Cod beach late Saturday night, but officials don't believe foul play was involved.

Massachusetts State Police troopers were investigating an abandoned car at Scusset Beach State Reservation in Bourne just before midnight on Saturday.

That led troopers and other officials to find a dead man — believed to be connected to the car — at the Sagamore Hill area of the Scusset Beach reservation.

A preliminary investigation by the State Police Detective Unit for the Cape and Islands District and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section has thus far found no evidence of foul play, officials said.
