1 Killed, 4 Hurt in Marion Crash

MARION, MA — One person was killed and four more were hurt following a crash on Route 195 in Marion Wednesday morning.

Police said the crash happened on Route 195 at about 6:45 a.m.

A man driving a 2006 Ford Econovan was killed after he lost control and crashed, police said. A Ford pickup truck was also involved in the crash, police said. Four other men were hurt in the crash. Three were transported to a Rhode Island-area hospital. The fourth was more seriously hurt and flown in a medical helicopter to a Boston-area hospital.

Police said the man was driving the van east on Route 195 when for some reason he lost control and crashed. The vehicle flipped over, police said.

Police did not release the names of the victims as of Wednesday afternoon. They said an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
