Cape Cod Pediatrician Sentenced in Child Porn Case

A former pediatrician who lived in Cape Cod was sentenced Tuesday to more than five years in prison for child pornography.

Daniel J. O’Hern, 65, will spend the next 63 months in prison and pay a $12,500 fine. After that, he will have five years of supervised release and forced to register as a sex offender.

Earlier this year, O’Hern pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child porn.

Police said he used a public file sharing program to post photo and videos of minors aged five to 12 years engaged in sex acts with adults. Police said they found hundreds of DVDs and hard drives loaded with child porn at his Mashpee home. O’Hern previously worked as a pediatrician in New York.
