Open to all mediums, including painting, collage, weaving, ceramics, and more. Painters:
Submit a painting of your studio space or specific elements within it, such as brushes, palettes, or paint tubes. Other Mediums: Represent your workspace through your specific craft. For example, a fiber artist might create a weaving inspired by the color palette of their studio.
Take a picture of your artwork for digital Submission to <a href="mailto:info@falmouthart.org">info@falmouthart.org</a>. One artwork per artist. Receiving fees are $10 for Falmouth Art Center members and $15 for non-members.

Due to popular demand, we have added an <a href="https://www.westfalmouthlibrary.org/events/tea-time-book-club-mar-2026-294/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Extra Cup of Tea Time Book Club</a> the fourth Thursdays at 6pm. They will discuss the same titles as the original Tea Time.

West Falmouth Library is honored to host our April artist of the Month, Mashpee Wampanoag tribal member <a href="https://www.instagram.com/cheenulkapocknett/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Cheenulka Pocknett</a>. Pocknett, whose name translates to “Tall Deer,” is a member of the <a href="https://mashpeewampanoagtribe-nsn.gov/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe</a> and a dedicated cultural activist. His work is rooted in the preservation and sharing of Indigenous knowledge, traditions, and values. Through performance, education, and traditional craftsmanship, he strives to strengthen cultural understanding to keep Wampanoag heritage alive for future generations.
Driven by a deep passion to educate communities about Indigenous culture, Cheenulka founded and directs the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/RedHawkSingersAndDancers?utm_source=ig&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_content=link_in_bio" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Red Hawk Singers and Dancers</a>. This renowned cultural group performs at schools and venues across the nation, using traditional drumming, singing, and dance to authentically share Wampanoag history, teachings, and values. Their performances create meaningful opportunities for audiences to experience living Native traditions.
Cheenulka also maintains a personal connection to his heritage through traditional artistic practices such as feather work, beadwork, and creating wampum. These skills have been passed down through generations of his family and community. From sourcing natural materials locally to trading for specialized materials, each piece reflects a continuation of ancestral knowledge and craftsmanship.
Through his work as a performer, educator, and traditional artist, Cheenulka continues the living traditions of the Mashpee Wampanoag people while fostering greater awareness and respect for Indigenous cultures.

Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
