Community Day for the 250th

Come celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with the Town of Falmouth at the Museums on the Green – Falmouth Historical Society! This free, family-friendly event features food trucks, live music, historic lawn games, hands-on crafts, and complimentary admission to our historic properties and museums.

Events will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a reading of the Declaration of Independence, followed by live patriotic music. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy Colonial‑era games, crafts, caricature artist renderings, and a variety of offerings from local food trucks. The historic Wicks House will also be open for tours, offering a glimpse into Falmouth’s rich past. Join us as we commemorate this special milestone in our town’s history with community, creativity, and celebration.

11:30am: Character reading of the Declaration of Independence

12 noon: Church Bell ringing

12 - 3: Patriotic musician

All Day 11 - 3: Caricature artist, star wand craft, shell necklace craft, hoop and stick races, revolutionary obstacle course, food trucks

Falmouth’s Paul Revere Bell–Hear It Ring, See His Signature: At 12noon on July 3, come hear an extended celebratory ringing of the First Congregational Church’s bell, made by patriot hero Paul Revere. The church doors will be open from 12noon to 1:00pm for a rare public viewing of the original 1796 receipt signed by Mr. Revere. First Congregational Church of Falmouth, 68 Main Street.
