The Opening Reception for three new shows is scheduled for Friday, July 10, 5 – 7pm. Summer Juried Exhibition in the Hermann Gallery; Artrageous Auction Preview in the Landrau-Partan Gallery; and Peace, Protest and Promise: Photographs by Rowland Scherman in the Sigel Gallery.
The Reception is potluck: Bring an appetizer (sweet or savory) or a beverage to share. This event is free and open to the public.

Robin Pierson's annual Local Artisans Show will return on Saturday, July 4th from 10 AM to 2 PM in Cataumet (Bourne), MA. Stop by this popular, summer event with a diverse group of returning favorite artisans and new faces... selling a variety of beautiful, hand-crafted products.
You'll find unique creations including furniture, mirrors, resin work, jewelry, apparel and accessories, home goods, lavender products, hand crafted soaps, glass art,&nbsp;custom bird houses, ceramics, premium faux florals, hand woven products, original art and beautiful photography, prints, cards, and more.
Artists set up outside Robin's studio and under the shady trees of the Cataumet Art Center, which will also be open. Participating artisans for this show are:

Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
