Friday, August 21st, 3 – 5pm
Escape the Museum! Step into the world of Dr. Wicks, Falmouth’s pioneering physician, and uncover the secrets of his mysterious inoculation experiment! During Escape the Museum, families and teens will work together to solve puzzles, crack codes, and race against time to help Dr. Wicks complete his mission. Explore historic rooms, discover hidden clues, and experience the thrill of teamwork and discovery—all before the clock runs out. It’s history with a twist of adventure, perfect for curious minds and puzzle lovers alike!
Tickets: $20 for a group of up to four people, for ages 12+
Tickets will be timed: 3pm, 3:30pm, 4pm, 4:30pm. An 8 person maximum per time slot.

Wednesday, August 19 at 6 p.m. Movie night on the lawn…but better! Think drive-in movie theater, with boats! Arrive at 6 p.m. (or earlier if you’d like more time to build) where we’ll construct boats out of cardboard to sit in and enjoy the movie. Building isn’t for you? Bring along your favorite float for a cozy seat on the lawn. The movie will start just before dark. Co-presented with <a href="https://www.chapoquoityachtclub.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Chapoquoit Yacht Club</a>.
Vote for which movie you would like to see! Our biggest exhibition of the year is back with 139 diverse pieces of local art! Michael Palmer, recently retired Town of Falmouth Town Clerk, picked his favorite 14 works to receive this year's blue ribbons. The following artists received blue ribbons for their work: Arlene Cloninger, Lyn Coffey, Marian Colman, Judith Fai, Emily Ferguson, Brook Howard Keane, Michael Klehm, Preston MacAndrews, Bill Noble, Rowland Scherman, Diane Scotti, Desiree Tedford, Jim Weinberg and David Williamson.

Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
