The Opening Reception for three new shows is scheduled for Friday, September 11, 5 – 7pm. Autumn Juried Exhibition featuring Petals and Palettes, with Falmouth Garden Club in the Hermann Gallery, Upper Cape Camera Club “America — From Sea to Shining Sea” in the Landrau-Partan Gallery, and X-Ray Art: Using the Invisible Spectrum, Photographs by George A. Taylor, MD in the Sigel Gallery.
The Reception is potluck: Bring an appetizer (sweet or savory) or a beverage to share. This event is free and open to the public.

Robin Pierson's final Summer 2026 Local Artisans Show will be held on Saturday, September 5th from 10 AM to 2 PM in Cataumet (Bourne), MA. Always well-attended and a favorite with customers, you'll find&nbsp;a diverse group of returning, popular artisans and new faces... selling a variety of beautiful, hand-crafted products.
You'll find unique creations including furniture, mirrors, resin work, jewelry, apparel and accessories, home goods, decorative wood and fine crafted wood products, glass art, custom bird houses, ceramics, lavender products,&nbsp;original art and beautiful photography, prints, cards, and more.
Artists set up outside Robin's studio,&nbsp;and under the shady trees of the Cataumet Art Center which will also be open. Participating artisans for this show are:

Locust Street Historical Walking Tour – at Museums on the Green

The Falmouth Historical Society and the Falmouth Garden Club are pleased to provide the opportunity to tour the spectacular gardens at the Museums on the Green this summer! Take a walking tour of each of the five gardens in this beautiful location led by Falmouth Garden Club members.
Tours on Tuesday or Saturday at 11am, allowing time to visit the buildings.
The tour will last about 40 minutes. The dates are as follows:

<h3>Never Forget September 11th, 2001: A personal reflection 25 years later</h3>
Twenty-Five years ago, Paul Faenza was a Sergeant in the New York City Police Department. On September 11th, 2001, he responded with hundreds of other police officers and firefighters to Ground Zero. His presentation details that morning and beyond from a personal &amp; professional perspective. From wading through knee high dust to witnessing the collapse of Building 7; searching buildings for evidence, digging on the pile, and taking part in an honor guard at the temporary morgue. The talk will provide a sense of what occurred that day from a First Responders’ point of view, and to ensure that people never forget the events of September 11th, the lives lost and the lives we continue to lose to 9/11 related illnesses.
Tickets: $10 Museums on the Green members, $20 non-member, or donation-based ticket

Woods Hole Woman’s Club Invites Members and Guests to Welcoming Tea Sept 8

The Woods Hole Woman’s Club invites members and any women interested in the club to a welcoming tea from 3 to 4:30 PM on Tuesday, September 8 at The Church of the Messiah Parish and Community Center, 16 Church Street in Woods Hole. Board vice president Jennifer Cattin will give a welcome greeting and introduce the Board members. Ellie Armstrong will present a preview of the upcoming monthly programs planned to inform and entertain the group. Food and beverages will be served. 

The Woods Hole Woman’s Club brings members together to provide enrichment and mutual helpfulness for the betterment of Woods Hole and the surrounding communities. Founded in 1914, members enjoy a variety of speakers and programs and raise money for college scholarships and support of community organizations. Most meetings are held in Woods Hole at 11:30 AM on the second Tuesday of each month from October through April. New members are welcomed at any time during the year. Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.
