Call for Art: Small Works Show

The Falmouth Art Center is issuing a call for art this week for its upcoming Small Works Show.

The receiving day for artwork for the Small Works Show is Tuesday, November 29, from 9am to 5:30pm. The show will be on display in the Sigel Gallery at Falmouth Art Center from December 1 to 24.

This show is open to Falmouth Art Center members only. A one-year membership to Falmouth Art Center is $65 for individuals and $100 for families, which gives discounts to classes and events, as well as lower fees to enter shows and higher commissions if works sell.

The receiving fee is $10 per artwork. The commission is 70% to the artist and 30% to the Art Center.

To meet the criteria for the show, works must be less than 220 square inches, frame included. The works must also be wired to hang. The Art Center’s full Exhibition Guidelines are posted on the Art Center’s website, FalmouthArt.org.

The Art Center’s Small Works Show and the Holiday Market and Gift Gallery will both be on display through Christmas Eve, December 24.

Falmouth Art Center is free and open daily with extended hours until December 24: Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm and Sunday 1 to 4pm.

The Falmouth Art Center located at 137 Gifford Street in Falmouth is free.
