Cape Cod Car Chase Ends On Bourne Bridge

BOURNE, MA — A car chase ended on the Bourne Bridge Tuesday night, briefly stalling traffic.

At about 8:20 p.m., the Bourne Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Scenic Highway at Edgehill Road.

The driver, Jason Pina, 43, of South Attleboro, Mass., was found to have a suspended license and an active warrant for motor vehicle violations, police said.

Upon learning he was being placed under arrest, Pina fled in the vehicle and a short pursuit ensued.

Pina drove down Scenic Highway and onto the Bourne Bridge. He stopped at the top of the bridge and then surrendered to the Bourne Police without further incident, officials said.
