Cape Cod Cyclist Hit By Van: Police
The cyclist, a juvenile, suffered what officials suspect are minor injuries.
BOURNE, MA — An investigation is ongoing after a bicyclist was struck by a van while riding in the road on Cape Cod, local police said.
Around 12:45 p.m., Bourne police officers responded to the area of Academy Drive and Main Street on a report that a car crash had involved an injury. Fire and rescue officials were also called to the scene.
An initial investigation determined a Massachusetts Maritime van had struck a juvenile operating a bicycle in the roadway, officials said. The juvenile suffered a suspected minor injury and was transported by Bourne Rescue to a regional trauma center for further evaluation.

The operator of the van was uninjured and stayed on scene.
