Cape Cod Firefighter Arraigned On Rape Charges
Matthew Conlon faces three charges of rape. He was released on $5,000 bail after a hearing this week.
DENNIS, MA — A Cape Cod firefighter was arraigned on multiple charges of rape this week in Barnstable Superior Court.
Matthew Conlon, 39, of Dennisport, was arraigned on three counts of rape and one count of assault and battery stemming from an Aug. 27 sexual assault call.
The court ordered $5,000 bail, with the condition that Conlon stay away from, and have no contact with, the victim.

At about 3 a.m. on Aug. 27, the Dennis Police Department responded to the area of 56 Chase Ave. for a report of a sexual assault.
The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Dennis Police Department. Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Isaacs, Chief of Domestic Violence Unit and Victim Witness Assistant Kori McGrath will prosecute the case.

Conlon is due back in the Barnstable Superior Court on Jan. 25, 2024, for a pretrial conference.
