"While interacting with Williams, officers observed narcotics paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle," police said. "When officers ordered him to exit the vehicle to conduct a search, Williams refused and ignored repeated commands to comply. As officers attempted to open the vehicle door, Williams put the vehicle in drive and fled the scene at a high rate of speed onto Maravista [Avenue]."
Another patrol unit in the area saw Williams driving his car on the street, attempting to conduct a stop while they estimated Williams was driving about 80 mph past Teaticket Elementary School. Police terminated the pursuit due to public safety concerns, they said.
