Cape Cod Man Indicted As Part Of Multistate Drug Bust: Feds
A Falmouth man caught with over 70 pills in a glue container in Bourne was indicted on charges related to a drug distribution ring.
FALMOUTH, MA — Six people were indicted for their alleged involvement in a drug trafficking organization that distributed oxycodone pills from Houston across Southeastern Massachusetts.
Scott Lambert, 55, of Falmouth, is charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.
The FBI began investigating the drug ring in April 2022, when they received a tip that Taunton resident John "Jizz" Campbell, 40, was selling opioid pills in the southeastern part of the state.

Christan "Bear" Russell of Tomball, Texas, fed the operation by picking up pills in Houston and bringing them to Boston for redistribution, the FBI said in a news release. Russell met members of the drug ring at the Twin River Casino in Rhode Island and a hotel in Brookline, according to the FBI.
Campbell's drug deals led federal agents to lower-level dealers from Carver, and to Lambert, after Campbell's calls and text messages were intercepted.

Those interceptions revealed that Campbell redistributed oxycodone pills to Michael Atwood and Lambert, who then redistributed those pills.
On Feb. 24, 2023, law enforcement stopped Lambert on the Bourne Bridge after he allegedly met with Campbell. Seventy-three oxycodone pills were found hidden in a Krazy Glue container, officials said.
The six men, listed below, were indicted on one count each of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone pills:
- John Campbell, a/k/a Jizz, 40, of Taunton
- Kenneth Veiga, 33, of Abington
- Michael Atwood, 36, of Carver
- Austin Gonsalves, 36, of Fall River
- Scott Lambert, 55, of Falmouth
- Christan Russell, a/k/a Christian Russell, a/k/a Bear, 32, of Tomball, Texas
The indictment also includes a drug forfeiture allegation, aiming to seize the following items: a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLS550; a 2017 BMW X6; over $998,000 in U.S. Currency; an Aero Precision Model X15 Pistol; a Kongsberg Norwegian M1914 Pistol; a Glock 22 .40 Caliber Pistol; and a Taurus .44 Caliber Revolver.
