Cape Home Cracks List Of World's 15 Top Short-Stay Sites
Vrbo markets over 2 million properties, and the oceanfront Massachusetts house numbers among the highest-rated.
CAPE COD, MA — A home on the Cape is one of the 15 best vacation rental sites worldwide according to Vrbo, an international rental marketplace.
The 2,800-square-foot house in South Yarmouth overlooks Middle Beach and is among the short-stay residential properties that “exemplify exceptional quality, reliability and Vrbo's high standards,” a news release said.
Vrbo – founded as Vacation Rentals By Owner in 1995 – markets over 2 million homes as vacation spots, in more than 190 countries.

The Cape home, dubbed by its owners as “Our Oceanview,” includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms, 180-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean, air conditioning and a fire pit.
Rentals are already booked through most of the summer, but on Thursday the property’s online listing showed it was available at the end of August for $2,600 a night.

Our Oceanview is the only Massachusetts property to crack Vrbo’s top 15. Other U.S. honorees ranged from Hawaii to California to Florida. The rankings were based on a variety of criteria including customer feedback, according to Texas-based Vrbo.
Demand is booming for short-term vacation stays in private homes. The U.S. market for such properties will total $76.5 billion this year, consultant Grand View Research estimates. By 2033, the firm says, the industry will be worth $125.1 billion.
