Cape Man Faces Child Pornography Indictment In Federal Court

Bryan Mileikis, 33, was arrested in July after federal prosecutors said he had child pornography on his phone.

BOURNE, MA — A Bourne man was indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday on child pornography charges.

Bryan Mileikis, 33, was charged with receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Mileikis was arrested at his home on July 1. According to court documents, police executed a search warrant in June 2019 and seized his iPhone. Prosecutors said a forensic examination of the phone revealed pictures and videos depicting child pornography.

If convicted of the receipt of child pornography charge, Mileikis faces a mandatory minimum prison sentence of five years, and he could serve 20 years. He would also face five to 20 years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. The potential prison time for the charge of possession of child pornography are the same, except there is no minimum sentence.

The case is brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a 2006 initiative created by the U.S. Department of Justice designed to protect children from exploitation and abuse.
