FALMOUTH, MA — A group of women artists and writers will get together to make valentines for Cape Cod troops stationed throughout the world. This is the sixth straight year the Cape Cod branch of the National League of American Pen Women will make something to help brighten the day of soldiers.
The group will meet Feb. 1 at the Falmouth Art Center at 137 Gifford St., and the public is encouraged to attend, especially those with family members serving in the military. Group members said they will be at the center all day, so feel free to come for an hour or a full day.
Art supplies, coffee, drinks and dessert will be provided, but people are invited to bring their own materials to share. Door prizes will be awarded, as well as prizes for the funniest, most beautiful and most original valentines.
