Charges Filed In Falmouth Bank Robbery Investigation
A Martha's Vineyard man is charged in the April robbery of a Falmouth Rockland Trust bank. Here's what to know.
FALMOUTH, MA — Charges were filed on Tuesday in the investigation of the April 8 Rockland Trust bank robbery in Falmouth.
The Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office announced that Peter Petyoshin, 40, of Edgartown, is charged with armed and masked robbery with a firearm, making a bomb threat, larceny over $1,200, carjacking and seven counts of kidnapping.
Petyoshin is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday following the investigation conducted by the Massachusetts State Police, Falmouth Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

According to an earlier report, Petyoshin walked into the Rockland Trust bank on Davis Straits around 9 a.m. and told staff that they were armed with a bomb while brandishing a handgun.
then stole a dark-colored SUV from a customer and fled. Police later located the stolen vehicle a mile away at Teaticket Park.
