Charges For Suspect In String Of Cape Cod Package Thefts

One man faces two charges after police recovered multiple items reported stolen on Cape Cod this week.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Middleboro man faces charges after a string of package thefts on Cape Cod, local police announced.

On Wednesday, police announced that Wericsson Nunes-Lima, 23, was charged with larceny and vandalizing property.

This week, a Falmouth officer was patrolling the Great Harbors neighborhood when she saw a vehicle that matched a description from security footage related to a "series" of package thefts.

The officer identified a man that was seen in the footage and additional officials responded to the scene and recovered multiple items reported stolen.

Police took the opportunity to remind residents of the uptick of package thefts that come with the holiday season.

"As the holiday season approaches, the Falmouth Police Department urges residents to remain vigilant with deliveries and take precautions to reduce the risk of package thefts," police said.
