Child Nearly Drowns In Falmouth Pond
A child was flown to an area hospital after nearly drowning in Grews Pond at Goodwill Park in Falmouth.
FALMOUTH, MA — A child nearly drowned over the weekend while swimming in a Cape Cod pond, local officials said.
Around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Falmouth fire officials were called to Grews Pond at Goodwill Park on reports of a potential drowning.
Officials said initial reports were for an unresponsive child who was pulled from the pond, but it was later revealed that the child was breathing after bystanders performed CPR.

Fire personnel arrived to find a child around 4-years-old on the beach and breathing. Due to the nature of the incident, MedFlight was requested, officials said.
The child was evaluated and stabilized for transfer to MedFlight and transported to an area Pediatric Trauma Center, fire officials said.
