Community Health Center Of Cape Cod Annual Golf Tournament Raises $83K

More than 120 golfers participated, raising $83,000 for the health center's programs and services. It's the most money raised in 22 years.

BOURNE, MA – Community Health Center hosted its 22nd Annual Golf Tournament at Pocasset Golf Club on Monday, September 12.

More than 120 golfers participated in the event, raising funds to support Community Health Center’s mission to improve the health of the community through the provision of comprehensive, high quality, compassionate health care to all, regardless of ability to pay.

The Tournament raised more than $83,000 for Community Health Center’s programs and services, the highest amount in the event’s history.

“We are beyond thankful for the outpouring of support that helped make this year’s Golf Tournament a great success,” said Karen Gardner, Chief Executive Officer at Community Health Center. “This event enables CHC to provide access to essential wrap-around services for the patients we serve, providing connections to resources for patients experiencing housing or food insecurity, helping individuals secure health insurance, providing translation services, and setting up engagement with a care team to help manage chronic and dynamic illnesses.”

Community Health Center is grateful for the generous support of the community for this event, including platinum sponsors Cape Cod Five and Slade Mortgage, and gold sponsors: BizChecks Payroll, Bowdoin Construction Corp., Chapman Funeral & Cremation, Chart Room, Dr. R.
