Drug Trafficking Among Charges For Cape Cod Locals

Three people are charged after an investigation into drug sales and overdose in Falmouth.

FALMOUTH, MA — Three people face charges as part of an investigation into drug sales and overdoses in Falmouth, police said.

This week, three people were arrested on Feb. 27 after a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Maravista Avenue and Randolph Street in Falmouth. The vehicle, operated by Molly Boen, 30, of Plymouth, and two male passengers identified as John Cagnina, 38, of Sandwich, and Michael Averett,34, of Mashpee, were all taken into custody on various charges.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 42 grams of fentanyl and 20 grams of cocaine. Narcotics packaging material and over $60o were also seized.

Officials said this may not be the only arrests as a result of this investigation.
