Off-Duty Firefighter Saves Swimmer On Cape Cod
A person was rescued by an off-duty Kennebunk Fire-Rescue firefighter, who performed CPR on the swimmer after pulling them from the water.
WELLFLEET, MA — A Cape Cod swimmer can credit an off-duty firefighter for their safety after Labor Day weekend.
On Friday, Wellfleet Fire was dispatched to a possible drowning at Dyer Pond.
Officials said an off-duty Firefighter/AEMT from Kennebunk Fire-Rescue pulled the individual from the water and initiated CPR.

When the ambulance arrived the swimmer had a pulse and was conscious, leading officials to credit the firefighting with the "positive outcome in [an] otherwise dire situation."
