Election 2022: Falmouth Voter Guide

FALMOUTH, MA — Voters in Falmouth will head to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 8, for the 2022 general election.

In addition to races for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, there are several contested Congressional contests and key races at the state and local level, as well as three ballot questions.

The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 29. You can check your voting status on the Secretary of State's website, where you can also find your polling place.

There are several ways residents can vote:

Mail-In Voting

Vote-by-mail applications must be received by the Falmouth town clerk by 5 p.m. on Nov. 1.

Ballots can be returned by mail, emailed, faxed or returned by hand to the clerk’s office.

Early Voting

Voters have the option of early, in-person voting at the Old Water Dept. Meeting Room in Town Hall, 59 Town Hall Square, on the following dates and times:

• Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Sunday, Oct 23 from 12 to 4 p.m.
• Monday, Oct. 24 – Friday, Oct. 28 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Saturday, Oct. 29 - 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday, Oct 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Monday, Oct. 31 – Friday, Nov. 4 – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Voting on Election Day

Polls in Massachusetts are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can also use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place.

Ballot Questions

• Question 1, which, if passed, would create a 4% tax on incomes that exceed $1 million for education and transportation purposes.
• Question 2, which, if passed, would enact a medical loss ratio of 83% for dental insurance plans beginning on January 1, 2024?
• Question 3, which, if passed, would change the number of licenses per establishment granted incrementally from no more than 12 in 2023 to no more than 18 by 2031 and prohibits in-store automated and self-checkout sales of alcohol?
