Woods Hole Cantata Consort presents a joyous selection of J.S. Bach's music, sacred and secular, choral and orchestral. Vocal soloists Joan Kirchner, soprano, and baritone Philip Lima will sing an abbreviated version of The Peasant Cantata in English; two types of flute, recorder and transverse flute, will be featured in the Trio Sonata (BWV 529) and sections of the Orchestral Suite #2, with Jan Elliott and Jelle Atema, respectively. With string ensemble and continuo, the Chorus will perform selections from Missa Brevis in F and the great "Dona Nobis Pacem" from the B-minor Mass. Judith Brownell, music director.
