The Cape Cod Center for Women will hold its 6th annual Run and Dunk at Old Silver Beach on Jan. 1 at noon. On-site registration begins at 11:30 a.m. in the beach parking lot. A group swim will be held after the run at 1 p.m.
A choice of two distances—a three-mile loop and a five-mile course—is offered. Those wishing to take a dip only also are welcome. Hot chocolate and other goodies will be served.
There is no set registration fee; donations are suggested. Proceeds benefit the Cape Cod Center for Women, which provides emergency shelter, food and clothing to women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
