Have you always wanted to learn more about Geocaching, or how to get started on this great hobby?
Come on out to Waquoit Bay on Saturday, April 7th at 10am to learn the Geocache basics, how to get started, how to find a Geocache in your area or anywhere in the world! We’ll spend a little time learning about the Waquoit Bay Reserve properties and mission. If you’re new to geocaching with questions to ask, there will be plenty of experienced geocachers to help you find an answer! Light refreshments will be served.
The Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is located on the south shore of Cape Cod, in the towns of Falmouth and Mashpee. It encompasses some 2,700 acres of open waters, barrier beaches, marshlands and uplands. Washburn Island, South Cape Beach State Park, Reserve Headquarters and the Quashnet River Corridor are components of the Reserve which include trails through or near marshes, beaches, rivers and woodlands. After some time inside at the visitors center, we can move the event outside if you would like to give geocaching a try or explore the property.
