The Woods Hole Film Festival, with support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, is proud to present two Do-It-Yourself Workshops (DIY). These hands-on workshops will provide the participants with the tools necessary to help both individuals and businesses tell a compelling visual story and to use social media tools to market your story.
On Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22, the Woods Hole Film Festival will offer a two-day workshop, Do-It-Yourself Visual Storytelling and Social Media Marketing. This workshop is geared toward people who are interested in learning how to tell their story in a visual digital format.
Using simple, low-budget equipment, the workshop will teach the participant how to convert a shoebox of pictures, video or old film into a meaningful, simple and effective memoir, complete with graphics, artwork, music, narration and video.
Participants will also learn how to raise funds, crowdsouce materials, and market the final product via social media marketing tools, such as Kickstarter, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
If you are trying to promote yourself, your company, or your cause through film or video, this workshop will give you step-by-step tools to help. No prior experience is necessary.
