Doggie-Bowl - Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser for the Falmouth Dog Park

For over a year a group of Falmouth residents have worked to fulfill a dream of establishing the first dog park in our town. On May 1, 2011, that dream will come true with the grand opening of the Falmouth Dog Park. Fundraising efforts by the committee have raised some $32,000 of the anticipated $40,000 needed to build and maintain the park. Contributions have come from individuals and generous businesses in the Falmouth. A special fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, April 17 – a “Doggie-Bowl” bowl-a-thon from 1-3pm at Leary Family Amusement Center at Falmouth Town Hall Square. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and prizes and a show of support for the Falmouth Dog Park in its final phase of construction. Create a team of four to five bowlers (or let us place you on a team!), and come up with a dog-related team name. Bowling (two games), shoe rentals and snacks will be provided to anyone bringing in $25 or in sponsorships. Ask sponsors to sponsor you per game or a flat amount. Those wanting to bowl more than two games need to have at least $25 in sponsorships for each two games. Walk-ins can join by paying $25. Sign up to play at either Leary Family Amusement Center at Town Hall Square, or on-line at falmouthdogpark.com. For more information FalmouthDogPark@gmail.com. Prizes will be awarded in the following categories: the team with the most sponsor dollars; the individual with the most sponsor dollars; the person with the best single game score; team with the best average per bowler; team with the oldest average age; team with the youngest average age.
