The second annual Falmouth Flag Day 5k Run/Walk to benefit the Falmouth Education Foundation will be held on Sunday, June 10, starting at 10 a.m. on Grand Avenue
in front of the British Beer Company. The 3.1-mile course runs from the BBC east along the water, past Maravista Avenue and onto Bridge Street, u-turning at the end of the street and returning along same route, finishing at the BBC.
Registration can be done at www.FalmouthFlagDay5k.org or, if there are still openings, on the morning of the race
between 8 and 9:15 a.m. T-shirts will be given to the first 300 who sign up and medals will be given to all children, 17-and-under, who complete the course.
Age-group prizes will be awarded in several categories and there will be drawings for Red Sox tickets for those who complete the race and attend the awards ceremony.
The Falmouth Education Foundation(www.FalmouthEducationFnd.org) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is “to enhance educational excellence for the students of the Falmouth Public Schools … through a grants program that provides school staff with the knowledge, experience and materials they need to remain at the frontiers of educational excellence.“ The
foundation funds “innovative opportunities outside the schools' normal operating budgets.”
