Feast begins at about noon, 408 Carriage Shop Road, Fresh Pond (East Falmouth). Traditional Portuguese food and music, outdoor dancing, children's game booths, auction. Great family event, all ages.
To complete your experience of this eight century old tradition, be at Saint Anthony's Church (167 East Falmouth Highway) in East Falmouth at 9 am to view arrival of a procession featuring a Portuguese maching band playing traditional music unique to this festa. Stay and celebrate the crowning of the young queen during the mass.
