Sea Stars Early Learning Center

Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.

JazzFest Falmouth kicks off on Tuesday, September 25 at the Fishmonger Café in Woods Hole with a Howard Alden - Dan Barrett Concert with special appearance by Harry Allen. Jazz talks and other events lead up to a free Jazz Stroll along Main Street Friday night September 28 and a headliner concert on Saturday at Highfield Theater featuring The Grace Kelly Quintet.

Hyannis Harbor Hawks and Hyannis Arts Hall to hold joint benefit performance of Off-Broadway hit Rounding Third Help us celebrate Hyannis Harbor Hawks at 50
Saturday June 27 @ 7 pm &amp; Sunday, June 28 @ 2 pm Hyannis Harbor Hawks and Hyannis Arts Hall are joining to present a humorous and dramatic look at America’s favorite sport of baseball, on stage at Hyannis Arts Hall in late June. The hit Off-Broadway play Rounding Third
has entertained audiences across the U.S. with laugh-out-loud comedy and lessons for life.
Rounding Third, by Richard Dresser, portrays the tumultuous journey of two Little League coaches through an entire season, from their first tentative meeting to the climactic championship game. Over the course of exhilarating victories and heartbreaking defeats, the two men battle over how to lead the team. The play is rated PG-13.
“The Hyannis Harbor Hawks are elated to partner with Hyannis Arts Hall for this fundraiser,” said Jim Hurley, president of Hyannis Harbor Hawks. “It’s a win-win for both organizations. It helps us expand our fan base and support the local community.”
The play will be performed as a reading with music and sound effects, on Saturday, June 27, at 7 pm and Sunday, June 28 at 2 pm — to benefit both the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League and the year-round Hyannis Arts Hall. Harbor Hawks staff will hold a talkback Q&amp;A with the audience after Sunday’s performance.
 
Doors will open an hour before performances, with beer, wine, and nonalcoholic beverages, plus ballpark snacks and a silent auction of baseball memorabilia. Familiar faces from Cape Cod stages are bringing this Off Broadway hit to the Hyannis Arts Hall stage with Hyannis Harbor Hawks. J Hagenbuckle directs, with Neil McGarry and Philip Scudder as the coaches. The production is the first of more than a dozen plays, comedy acts, movies, concerts, lectures and more being scheduled at Hyannis Arts Hall through early fall.
Hyannis Harbor Hawks is one of 10 teams in the <a href="https://www.capecodleague.com/hyannis" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Cape Cod Baseball League</a>, the premier collegiate summer baseball league in the nation, with its origins dating to 1885. The nonprofit 501[c]3 organization draws players from across the United States, representing all NCAA college divisions.
Hyannis Arts Hall is part of the 501[c]3 nonprofit <a href="https://www.hyannisartshall.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Hyannis Arts &amp; Film</a>, along with Hyannis Film Festival and Hyannis Arts &amp; Flea. The organization is devoted to bringing the performing arts and culture to Hyannis and Cape Cod, to boost the local economy. The hall also offers space for public celebrations and meetings.
