Falmouth Chamber Players Orchestra Musicale Redux

Falmouth Chamber Players Orchestra Presents an Exciting Afternoon of Small Ensemble Music at the Cape Cod Conservatory

An energetic and engaging afternoon of music making for all ages will take place at the Cape Cod Conservatory in Falmouth Sunday September 23 at 3pm. A compelling and diverse range of music will be performed by select members and friends of the Falmouth Chamber Players Orchestra coached by Maestro John Yankee. Works will include Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio by Claude Bolling, a string quartet by Haydn, a Mozart Divertimento and works by J.S. Bach.  The Musicale presents a special opportunity for everyone, particularly youngsters, to experience live small groups working together and to hear close-up a great variety of instruments including violins, violas, cellos and double basses, a harpsichord, bassoons, flutes, clarinets and oboes in the intimate setting of the great room of the Conservatory. Some of the players are Robert Kidd, former music director at Cape Cod Community College, pianist Stephanie Weaver who serves as managing director of the Cape Cod Conservatory, and Joyce Gindra, Fritz and Laura Sonnichsen, founders of FCPO. Wind players performing are flutist Lorrie Hassan, clarinetists Diane Aittaniemi and Henry Duckham, and oboist Melanie Hayn. Other string players are violinists Marvin Grosslein, Carol Rizzoli, Karen Bellerose and cellist Elizabeth Kushigian. A special treat will be newly appointed music director at St. Barnabas, Todd Beckham performing the Froberger Suite on harpsichord.

Admission is by donation and the suggested donation is $15 for adults and $5 for children and students.
