The community is invited to celebrate the reopening of the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) Pierce Exhibit Center and Gift Shop on Wednesday July 4 from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The newly renovated exhibit center, located at 100 Water St., Woods Hole, tells the story of the MBL and its impact on life sciences. It is designed for all ages and is free and open to the public.
Live animal tanks featuring creatures that are helping MBL scientists understand human health and disease, stunning underwater video footage, a hands-on microscope, and an interactive squid model are all part of the visitor experience.
The MBL Gift Shop offers a wide variety of unique MBL related gifts including toys, games, books for children and adults, jewelry, souvenirs, and clothing for all ages. In honor of the opening celebration, the gift shop will offer 15% off of all purchases made on July 4.
