Falmouth author Terri Arthur will discuss “The Life of World War One nurse Edith Cavell.” As well as medicine, this honors Women’s History Month. Cavell was a British nurse who risked and ultimately gave her own life to save the lives of over 1000 Allied soldiers from the Germans during the First World War. When she was caught, tried and executed, her death helped to bring the United States into the conflict.
This lecture will be held at the First Congregational Church, Falmouth, MA. Tickets are $5 for non-members and $4 for members, and can be purchased at the door. Reservations are not required.
