Falmouth Art Center Starts Book Club
The Falmouth Art Center has started a new book club! The first book will be "The Big Sea: An Autobiography," by Langston Hughes.

The book club is open to all members of the Falmouth Art Center. The center also has groups for plein air painters, figure painters and knitters.
Those who join the book club will want to mark their calendars for a discussion at the first book club meeting on Thursday, February 18, at 4 PM on Zoom.
Artist Robin Joyce Miller will lead the discussion about “The Big Sea.”

A resident of Marstons Mills, Ms. Miller has made a series of artworks inspired by Langston Hughes poems, and those works will be on display at the Falmouth Art Center in February as part of the exhibit, “Our Stories: Works by Claudia Smith-Jacobs, Carl Lopes, Joe Diggs and Joyce Miller.”
The Art Center will be closed December 25 through Friday, January 1. Beginning Saturday,, January 2, the center will be open daily, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM; Saturday 10 AM to 2 PM and Sunday 1 to 4 PM. Upcoming programming can be found on the center’s website. The center, at 137 Gifford Street in Falmouth, is free and open to the public.
