Falmouth Axe Throwing Bar Opening With Bowling Alley
Timber is slated to open this summer at the former Ryan Amusements bowling alley at 23 Town Hall Place.
FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth will get a new indoor entertainment complex that includes axe throwing, bowling, food and drinks. Timber is slated to open this summer at the former Ryan Amusements bowling alley at 23 Town Hall Place, the Falmouth Enterprise reported.
Those wishing to throw axes will be taught how to throw them safely at wood targets. There are rules laid out by the International Axe Throwing Federation for competitive play, but beginners are encouraged to the axe as close to the bullseye as possible. The select board approved Timber's licenses to operate and serve alcohol at its meeting Monday.
Business owner Kevin Klauer told the select board the facility used the bowling alley's former arcade space for five axe-throwing lanes. The lanes are 15 feet-long and are separated with chain link fences. Alcohol is not allowed inside the lanes.
