Falmouth Christmas Parade, Holidays By The Sea 2019 Schedule

The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce will host a series of holiday events this weekend, culminating in the annual parade on Sunday.

FALMOUTH, MA – The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce will host a series of Holidays by the Sea events this weekend, culminating in the annual Christmas parade on Sunday. The celebration kicks off with caroling at the Nobska Lighthouse and includes visits from Santa Claus, a festive 5K, holiday lights and more.

Caroling at Peg Noonan Park

5:30 p.m. Friday; Peg Noonan Park, Main Street

Jingle Jog 5K & Kids Elf Run

3:30 p.m. Saturday; Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, 20 Academy Lane

The Elf Run starts at 3:30 p.m. and the Jingle Jog begins after at 4p.m. Wear your wildest holiday “jingle bells” festive outfit to run the course starting and finishing on Main Street at Academy Lane. The Elf Run is a half mile fun run for children 12 and under.

Seafaring Santa

Santa Arrives at 10:30 a.m. Saturday; Falmouth Harbor, Scranton Avenue

Welcome Seafaring Santa and the Falmouth High School Chorus at The Flying Bridge on Scranton Avenue. Santa will greet the kids and pass out candy canes.

Falmouth Village Holiday Stroll

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; Main Street / Queen’s Buyway, Falmouth Village

The Holiday Stroll is a tradition with something for everyone. See Falmouth's Main Street transformed at night by the annual Holiday Stroll. Enjoy unique shops, services and restaurants in the heart of Falmouth Village. The street and storefronts are at their very best when decorated for the holidays. Many of the merchants will be offering snacks and refreshments. Don't miss Santa at the inflatable North Pole at Peg Noonan Park. The street will be closed again this year, so be aware that parking is available at Mullen Hall and Lawrence School, where the trolley will stop, while running from Peg Noonan to Queens Buyway.

Lighting of the Village Green

7 p.m. Saturday; Falmouth Village Green, Main Street

The Falmouth Brass Choir will lead the caroling before a special visit from Santa as the town lights up the green. Dress warmly.

56th Annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, Theme: Unwrap the Magic of Falmouth

12 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2018, noon; Main Street, Dillingham Avenue to the Falmouth Village Green

The parade steps off from Dillingham Avenue at noon and continues down Main Street to the Village Green. It will feature theme-decorated floats, marching bands, live animals, costumed characters and Santa Claus.

Parade Parking Restrictions:

  • Parking downtown on Main Street will be prohibited beginning at 8:00 a.m. until the parade concludes around 2:30 p.m.
  • Parade staging will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Dillingham Avenue, which will be closed to through traffic from 8:00 a.m. until around 1:30 p.m.
