Falmouth Confirms Name Of New Fire Station
The new station on Sandwich Road will be called Hatchville Station after a vote by the Select Board.
FALMOUTH, MA — A new fire station is being built on Sandwich Road in Falmouth, and the Select Board recently confirmed the latest step in the project: A name.
The new station will be called the Hatchville Fire Station, located at 878 Sandwich Rd. Fire officials said the name is consistent in their desire in keeping with the names of the other stations.
Construction of the new station is set to begin in the spring.

The new station is over 10,000 sq. ft. and features a three-bay garage.
According to the Falmouth Enterprise, the station would include "a vestibule for patients in need of minor emergency care, six firefighter dorms, a kitchen and dining area, showers, lockers, a wellness room, a patio area and a decontamination area with lockers and showers."

Solar panels would also be installed, with the hopes of powering as much of the station with renewable energy as possible.
