Falmouth Drug Bust At Campground: Police
Falmouth police said Todd Lopes and Andrew Weldon ran a heroin and marijuana operation out of a camper at Sippewissett Campground.

FALMOUTH, MA — Two men were arrested Tuesday on charges they ran a drug trafficking operation out of a camper at a Falmouth campground, police said. Todd Lopes, 29, of Falmouth, and Andrew Weldon, 28, of New Bedford, face a host of charges. Police said they found them with heroin, marijuana and cash during a raid at Sippewissett Campground.
As officers conducted the raid, the men tried to flee in a car and in the process crashed into an unmarked police cruiser, police said, adding Lopes was driving. No one was injured. (Sign up for free daily newsletters and breaking news alerts from Falmouth Patch.)
Police said they seized 58 grams of heroin, more than 2 pounds of marijuana, marijuana edibles and $10,500 in cash. Lopes was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (car), driving to endanger, failing to stop for police and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Weldon was charged with heroin trafficking (subsequent offense), marijuana possession with intent to distribute (subsequent offense) and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Falmouth police were assisted by the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office and Cape Cod Drug Task Force during the raid.
