Falmouth EEE Mosquito Spraying Route, Timeline

Truck spraying will take place Wednesday night. Here's what you need to know.

FALMOUTH, MA — Eastern Equine Encephalitis spraying will take place in Falmouth Wednesday, Aug. 14 after multiple mosquito samples tested positive for the virus. Truck spraying is scheduled for 8 p.m. and is expected to end by midnight. In the event of rain, the alternate spray date is Monday, Aug. 19.

The truck will have flashing yellow lights signaling its approach, and residents will be asked to go inside and shut all windows for about 20 minutes while the truck is on their street.

Residents are still advised to wear EPA-approved pesticides, and long sleeves and pants when possible. To opt out of the spraying, please visit https://www.mass.gov/forms/request-for-exclusion-from-wide-area-application-of-pesticides.
