FALMOUTH, MA — Firefighters responded Tuesday evening to a “heavy” blaze at a home in East Falmouth.

No one was injured, but the resident at 68 Deepwood Drive was displaced, according to a statement Wednesday.

Crews from Falmouth and Joint Base Cape Cod arrived at the scene around 7:10 p.m. After searching for occupants of the house and attacking the fire, the responders determined it had spread to the attic. They then had to open the roof and evacuate the building.
