Falmouth Hospital Coronavirus Admissions Continue Decline

Falmouth Hospital admissions for the coronavirus are down 89 percent since April.

FALMOUTH, MA — On July 12, Falmouth Hospital discharged three patients that had been treated for the coronavirus and, in the process, hit a milestone: It was the first time since the COVID-19 crisis started in March that the hospital wasn't treating at least one coronavirus patient.

Since then, hospitalizations have remained low, not exceeding four on a single day. As of Sunday, the hospital was treating two coronavirus patients, none of which were in the ICU.

According to the Department of Public Health, the worst days for COVID-19 hospitalizations in Falmouth were April 21 and 22, when 19 patients were in the hospital.
