Falmouth Hotel Acquired For $13M, Upgrades Planned: Report
Inn on the Square is now part of a company that also owns and operates hotels on Nantucket, in Plymouth and elsewhere.
FALMOUTH, MA — A Boston hospitality company has purchased a Falmouth hotel for $13 million and is planning to upgrade it ahead of the 2027 summer season.
Mount Vernon Co. purchased the 82-room Inn on the Square, at 40 North Main St. in downtown Falmouth, the Boston Business Journal reported Monday.
The Cape Cod property adds to Mount Vernon’s growing hotel portfolio, which includes the Revolution Hotel in Boston’s South End, John Carver Inn & Spa in Plymouth, three boutique hotels on Nantucket and two New Hampshire properties in Portsmouth and North Conway.

Company officials said renovations at the Falmouth hotel are still in the planning stages but will probably begin during the off-season.
