Falmouth Man Arrested After Accidental Shooting: Police
The woman suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and had to be airlifted to a Boston area hospital.
FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was arrested Thursday after accidentally shooting a Middleboro woman, police said.
William Niemeyer, 58, was charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, possessing a large capacity firearm and carrying a loaded firearm without a license.
Police said the shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. at a home on Shore Street. When officers arrived, they found a 54-year-old Middleboro woman with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said she was treated on seen before being airlifted to a Boston area hospital. Her injuries were serious, but not life-threatening, according to police.
